I'm A Celebrity star Nadia Forde has said she thinks her former campmate Melanie Sykes is beginning to struggle with jungle life.

On Tuesday night, Nadia was the second celebrity to leave the camp, and following her exit she has admitted that living in the jungle is starting to take its toll on some of her co-stars.

Speaking about Mel, Nadia told the Mail Online she doesn't think her pal is coping well.

After spending 19 days in camp with little food, tensions have been high among the I'm A Celeb campers. And, not surprisingly, it hasn't taken much for some of the celebs to lose their cool.

First Kendra Wilkinson came to blows with Edwina Currie, then Jimmy Bullard found himself first to leave after his 'banter' with Jake Quickenden wasn't taken light-heartedly, and now Nadia thinks Mel could be the next star to blow her fuse.

And, after last night's heated argument with Mel and Edwina, maybe the Irish model is right...

She said: "Melanie is not coping great in there. She's low in energy. I think she's struggling with the lack of food and everything. She's getting edgy and irritated.

"There's a lot of tension, especially at cooking time. Mel is feeling it. She walks away and takes a breather when it gets to her. She gets through it, but it's tough."

Aired: 3 December 2014.

Nadia's comments come after Mel found herself coming to blows with Edwina in last night's episode of the show.

Putting herself up for the day's Bushtucker trial, Mel was left upset when Edwina questioned her ability to do well in the task, suggesting one of the boys should do it instead.

Mel then went on to tell Edwina she should be more supportive of her fellow females, sparking an argument between the pair.

After Edwina suggested that women rely on men in their lives, Mel shot back: "I'm self-sufficient me. I've been so for 12 years. I've got all my mates, all my family, I don't need a man to help me in my life."

Meanwhile, journalist and broadcaster Michael Buerk was the third celebrity to leave the I'm A Celeb jungle.

Following his exit, Michael joked he was "relieved" to be voted out, telling Ant and Dec he would like X Factor star Jake to win the show.
