The broadcaster and journalist was the third star to be eliminated from the Australian jungle last night, following in the footsteps of footballer Jimmy Bullard and model Nadia Forde.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine today, he joked: "I learnt a few things, mostly bad language, I didn't know such words existed, I've lived such an innocent life. I learnt a lot about tattoos, a lot about football and a lot about pop music none of which I knew before. Life is a learning experience isn't it?"
Michael, 68, also spoke about his jungle bromance with rapper Tinchy Stryder.
The pair's developing friendship has been one of the highlights of this series, topped off with Michael's a-mazing rap skills being demonstrated on a recent episode.
"He did invite me to do something with him on stage but I think he was pulling my leg!"
As for whether he may have damaged his reputation as a serious journalist, he laughed: "Possibly but I've got this new career as a rap star to look forward to!"
We'll be looking forward to it as well, Michael!
Michael made no secret on last night's episode that he was ready to leave the jungle and this morning he revealed what would be first on his agenda...
"Clean sheets, something to eat, a glass of wine," he said, adding: "There is an insane little quarter in me, a little competitive urge, a little bit of fellow feeling with my campmates, an insane little bit of me is still thinking, 'I wish I was there seeing it out to the end!'"
Michael is now tipping Jake Quickenden to win, saying: "He's young, charming, he sings well and he flirts with Edwina Currie who could ask for anything more?!"
