Despite vowing never to even visit Australia again following her stint Down Under, Gemma has done a U-turn and wants to go back on the ITV1 reality show.
Appearing on This Morning earlier today (3 December), Gemma nodded solemnly as Phillip Schofield told viewers that there is "more to the story" but that they were unable to discuss it on air.
It appeared he was alluding to the reports that Gemma had been allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend prior to flying out to Australia.
Speaking to Phillip and co-host Amanda Holden, Gemma then said: "I'd love to go back and do it again - if I was in the right headspace. I would love to go back."
TOWIE star Gemma stunned fans when she quit I'm A Celebrity after just three days last month.
After flying home to London, Gemma opened up about her reasons to leave and even claimed a counsellor had advised her not to take part in the show.
Talking to reporters at Heathrow Airport, Gemma held back tears and said: "I decided to leave the jungle because, what a lot of people didn't know, is 24 hours before I went in something really bad had happened to me and I had quite bad injuries.
"I had injuries to my head and all over my body but I didn't want to let anyone down. I was like, 'I've got to do this'. It was a massive opportunity and then, when I got into the jungle, everyone was saying I'd only been in there for two days but I'd actually been in there for six."
She added: "I'd just been through so much trauma and when I got in there, the shock came out. I was just in shock, I was in trauma, and I was just in a really bad way. I'm sorry if I've let anyone down. But...I was in a very bad way."
Next week, Gemma will make her return to TOWIE for the Only Way Is Essexmas Christmas special.
Initially, Gemma was going to miss the one-off episode due to her jungle commitments but her early return to the UK means she has been able to film scenes with her co-stars.
The Only Way Is Essexmas, 10pm, ITVBe, Wednesday 10 December
