Aspiring singer Jake was a contestant in Mel B's Boys' Category on the current series of X Factor, where he was eliminated in week three.
Jake, 26, then joined I'm A Celebrity as a late addition, following the departures of TOWIE star Gemma Collins and Coronation Street actor Craig Charles.
Chatting to the Bush Telegraph yesterday, Jake was asked which X Factor judge – Mel, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh – would cope best in the jungle.
Cheeky Jake replied: "I reckon Mel B would cope in the jungle, wouldn't she? She'd scare the absolute living daylights out of anything that was in there!
"She'd get in a box with the rats and they'd be at the other end scared of her! I reckon Mel B would do well in here!"
Jake also assured viewers that his music career was still his priority despite taking a detour from the recording studio to experience the jungle.
"Singing is my passion," he said. "I wasn't the best on X Factor but I love singing. I want to do an EP and get my original songs out there on my guitar and hopefully people will like them and buy into it."
Jake also revealed the three words he'd use to describe his jungle experience so far are life-changing, hilarious and testing.
I'm A Celebrity continues tonight on ITV when we'll say goodbye to the first celebrity.
Viewers have been voting to save either Mel Sykes, Tinchy Stryder, Carl Fogarty or Jimmy Bullard, meaning one of them will leave tonight.
