Frankie Bridge has revealed that she suffers from "guilt" for leaving her son Parker to go to work.

While The Saturdays singer, 25, is dominating the leader board on Strictly Come Dancing, the gruelling process also has its downsides.

In an interview with The Mirror, Frankie has admitted that she misses spending more time with her family.

Although she is one of the favourites to win the BBC1 dance show, the training has kept her away from adored son Parker, who recently turned one, and husband Wayne Bridge, 34.

She says: "I don't get to see him as much as I like, but I do see him a bit more than when I'm away on my normal job.

"I have every Sunday off so spend all day with him.

"But you do have that guilt every so often when you haven't seen them that day."

Frankie also reveals she missed Parker's first steps unaided, saying: "He was kind of walking with help. I said to Wayne, 'I guarantee when we get back from Blackpool he'll be walking properly', and he was.

"So that's cool. I was there when he took his very first steps so I'm OK with it.

"But he took it upon himself to do it properly when we were away."

The 'Disco Love' star also talks of her "devastation" at making mistakes on the dance show, how she's not sure how she would cope if she were ever in the dance-off and how it would be "amazing" to win the show.

She adds that she would love a brother or sister for little Parker, but not quite yet!

Frankie was thrilled last week when cute toddler Parker visited her during rehearsals.

She will be performing a fast jive on Round The World week.

Hours before the live show in Saturday (29 November), Frankie tweeted: "Off to Elstree! It's that time of the week again! Argh!! Jive most energetic dance in the world with the most energetic partner in the world!"

Strictly Come Dancing is on every Saturday and Sunday on BBC1.
