The former politician, 68, has struck up a bond with X Factor contestant Jake, 26, while over in the Australian jungle, and yesterday said: "I think the world of Jake."
In a Q&A with fans via the Bush Telegraph, Edwina said: "I'll take Jake home any time you like! I think he's wonderful!"
And she chose Jake as the celebrity she'd most liked to trapped with in the jungle.
"It has to be Jake! He can do all the things I can't do. He's big, strong, fit, runs and he's keen. I can supply him with a lot of knowledge, information and ideas which you accumulate in a long life."
Aside from gushing over Jake, Edwina did have kind words for all her fellow contestants, saying: "I adore Vicki. I admire Melanie enormously. I have daughters about that sort of age and she's absolutely terrific.
"I would love to go through all of them and tell you they are all great people. All lovely."
Edwina and Jake were late entries to the jungle, arriving together after the original ten campmates had already begun the experience and started bonding.
Their late arrival coincided with the departure of two original campers: TOWIE star Gemma Collins quit over the harsh jungle conditions and Coronation Street actor Craig Charles withdrew after the death of his brother back in the UK.
