The charge relates to an alleged incident which took place outside Jamie Oliver's Jamie's Italian restaurant in Greenwich on 14 September.

Linda, 51, chose not to attend the hearing yesterday and instead made her plea through her lawyer. The case has now been adjourned for trial next February.

Actress Linda has played the role of Shirley in EastEnders since 2006. Prior to that, she starred as Yvonne Atkins from 1999 to 2003 in Bad Girls.
