Former TOWIE star Maria Fowler has been moaning about the "horrendous crap" she has received for free.

Despite quitting The Only Way Is Essex in 2011, Maria is still seen by companies as a famous face and often gets freebies in the post in the hope that she will tell fans about them.

However, it seems the novelty of being gifted is becoming too much for the reality star and she has taken to Twitter to complain.

Maria is miffed that some companies "hound her" to tweet a picture of the item they have sent, which she objects to - especially when she "doesn't even like it".

The Derby-born star told fans last night: "I'm really grateful being sent stuff. But when I don't even ask for, want or even like it then get hounded to do tweets etc I find rude."

Current TOWIE cast member Vas J Morgan appeared to agree with Maria's rant, replying with an annoyed emoticon face, clapping hands and the word: "This!"

In response, Maria continued to rant: "@VasJMorgan babe, I keep getting crap everyday that is horrendous then message after message to do a pic. I'd rather send it bk x."

While some people have backed Maria's argument, adding that they "admire her honesty", others have come up with a solution for her.

One Twitter user replied: "@MariaFowler send it back then, don't be so ungrateful! There's people in the world who would kill for free clothes! U get it handed to you on a plate!

"I like you and all, but wouldn't say it's rude people sending you free gifts! Why don't you give them to the less fortunate?x."

Insisting she does give items to charity, Maria shot back: "I do! But I get hounded to tweet a pic with it and it's misleading to people if the item isn't nice quality."

Hmmm....what a nightmare.
