When asked, the Sherlock star said: "She's just really cool!"
Speaking to People, Benedict opened up on his relationship with his partner of one year, telling the US publication "it's a good fit".
And, although he might be a household name thanks to his starring roles in films such as 12 Years A Slave and The Hobbit trilogy, the actor admitted that when it comes to his private life, he and Sophie try to keep things as normal as possible.
Even when he has a legion of adoring fans!
But, not fussed by her soon-to-be husband's admirers, Benedict claimed Sophie was a pro when it comes to handling his fame.
He added: "She's proud of my work, she's proud of me, and she loves me. That's the bottom line, isn't it?... It could be a really difficult thing, but she's just so in command of it."
The 38-year-old's latest comments come after Benedict and Sophie made their first public appearance since getting engaged.
Stepping out together for the premiere of Benedict's latest movie The Imitation Game, the couple were all smiles as they cuddled up together on the red carpet.
And, while all eyes were on Sophie's left hand to catch a glimpse of her new rock, the actress made sure to keep it hidden behind her fiancé's back.
Just a week earlier, news broke of Benedict and Sophie's engagement after eagle-eyed readers spotted the couple's discreet announcement in The Times newspaper.
It read: "The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."
