X Factor's Stevi Ritchie has admitted that he wants to work for SImon Cowell now he has been eliminated from the show.

Stevi was shown the door last night after finding himself in the sing-off with Andrea Faustini, however he is already looking towards the future - ideally with Mr Cowell by his side.

During an appearance on This Morning today, Stevi admitted that he "loves" Simon, who he has repeatedly described as his "best friend".

"I love him, he's an absolutely great guy," he gushed. "So genuine and down to earth. And not only is he a mentor but he is a friend. I had a chat with him in the dressing room last night and was really, really nice."

Stevi then expressed his desire to work with Simon on The X Factor - and even offered to make the teas backstage!

"I would!" he laughed. "I'd do anything - whether it is [presenting The Xtra Factor] with Sarah-Jane or any part of it backstage. I'd do anything, I'm not bothered."

On Saturday night, Stevi left the judging panel speechless after performing in a pharaoh's outfit while smothered if honey, feathers - and women! He made it through that evening's first eviction - which saw Only The Young leave - but was voted out by the judges on Sunday.

Reflecting on his wild performance, Stevi said: "I actually enjoyed that - it was one of my favourite performances. I went out with a bang. It was a very sticky situation! Afterwards, they gave me about five minutes to get all the honey off and get my hair done for the results. It was very touch and go."

Fans of the show will know that Stevi's No 1 fan is his seven-year-old daughter Summer. However, after last night's elimination, it sounds like she wants some serious words with Simon.

"She was a little bit upset last night, she was going to complain that I got voted out!" Stevi laughed. "But she's fine. I'm going to speak to her later."

Meanwhile, Only The Young were full of nothing but praise for Stevi earlier today, telling Reveal that they weren't upset he lasted longer in the show - albeit 24 hours!
