Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has rubbished claims he is considering retiring, insisting: "I have the most wonderful job!"

The 70-year-old has been a member of the Strictly judging panel for ten years, and also judges on the US version of the show, Dancing with the Stars.

And he intends to keep it that way!

While promoting his new BBC Four series on ITV's This Morning today, he said: "I don't know where [those rumours] keep cropping up from. I guess it's because I'm getting on a bit and they think, 'He can't keep going and going'.

"I guess I can't keep going and going, but I think it will probably be the BBC saying, "Len, we think it's time...' eventually, or whenever. But I'm not retiring. I love that show. It's fantastic."

Len went on to joke it was also an "easy gig" and why would he want to give that up?!

"A car picks you up and takes you to the studio, you sit there for a couple of hours saying, 'Keep your head up'… and then a car takes you home and then they pay you! So when you think when I did about ten years on the docks, this is the most wonderful, wonderful job.

He added: "This is the best series ever."

Len can be seen on BBC Four series Dancing Cheek To Cheek: An Intimate History Of Dance, a three-episode series that examines the roots of Britain's favourite popular dances.
