TOWIE star Gemma dramatically walked out of the Australian jungle just 72 hours after arriving, claiming she couldn't cope with the experience any longer.
Former show winner, Kian, told ITV's This Morning that he felt baffled by that, especially as Gemma had just been rescued from the jungle jail-style camp and transferred to the nice camp.
He said, like many, he'd assumed when he heard Gemma had left that it was because she'd been through last night's Bunker challenge, which asked the jail campmates to complete a task in a dark bunker filled with freaky creepy crawlies and other treats.
But, instead of going into the Bunker, Gemma was rescued by the other campers in the comfortable camp.
Kian said: "I'd assumed she [quit after] having to go into the Bunker and deal with those challenges, but all of a sudden she was in the nice camp, everyone was taking care of her, giving her food and she decides to walk. I found it a bit odd."
He said: "There are so many mixed feelings towards this. So many people are like, 'Oh my God, what is she all about? She should have known what she's getting herself in for' but there is another side to it. She went in there, went through an awful lot and felt it wasn't for her."
"Did she make the right decision for her? I think so. But personally I feel like three days... It's not like that's already bored. It's not that hard! The food is probably one of the biggest things you feel straight away but three or four days in that gets relaxed."
Kian also suggested that the show's hosts Ant & Dec had been "annoyed" to see Gemma quit.
"Ant & Dec seemed furious throughout last night's show. I actually tweeted them saying, 'Ant & Dec don't seem too happy!' and Ant replied saying, 'I'm not!' They're obviously quite annoyed with her. She was a great person to watch, she was fantastic to watch, and I think she's done herself a injustice."
