Earlier today, ITV confirmed that Gemma had walked from the jungle and on hearing about her exit, Amy said: "I'm gutted... that was my TV for three weeks!"
Speaking to the Mail Online, the reality star defended Gemma's decision to leave.
"You could see she wasn't happy," Amy said. "I can imagine it's a really hard show. I couldn't do it."
Despite Gemma only lasting three days in the I'm A Celeb camp, Amy claimed her close pal has lasted longer than she ever would.
"I wouldn't last five minutes," Amy insisted. "I've got to give it to Gemma for lasting three days."
But, still sad to see her go, Amy was a little disappointed there will be no more G.C. on the show.
Tipping her as the next Queen of the jungle if she had stayed, the 24-year-old said: "She was the winner... She's going to be so upset when she comes out. I'm gutted she's left."
Like Amy, many of Gemma's fellow TOWIE stars have shared their shock on her departure.
While Lauren Goodger said she wished Gemma would have stayed, Reveal's I'm A Celebrity blogger Danielle Armstrong tweeted: "Not surprised @missgemcollins quit @imacelebrity but slightly gutted as her jungle diva ways were so entertaining to watch! #ImACelebrity."
Appearing on This Morning earlier today, Ferne McCann also gave her opinion on Gemma leaving the jungle, stating she was stunned to hear her friend had quit so soon.
Ferne said: "I was only saying yesterday that she wasn't going to quit and would make it to the end. It's just a massive shame.
"When Gemma makes her mind up, that's it. I think what's happened is that she's gone in the bunker and that's tipped her over the edge, but Gemma will be disappointed."
