Katie, 36, is the only celebrity to have ever appeared on the ITV1 reality show twice and, speaking last night, she admitted that she'd like to make it a hat trick!
Chatting on spin-off show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Now! just hours before it was confirmed that TOWIE star Gemma had quit, Katie said she wouldn't throw the towel in before she'd been voted out if she made a comeback.
Although she finished in fifth place in the 2004 series, Katie withdrew from I'm A Celebrity on the ninth day of the 2009 series.
Appearing via video link from London, Katie was asked by host Laura Whitmore whether she would like to come back.
Smiling, she replied: "Do you know, I actually would! Third time lucky and I would stay in and not walk out!"
During her first appearance in 2004, Katie struck up a relationship with fellow contestant Peter Andre and they later went on to marry and have two children together, Junior and Princess.
The couple divorced in 2009 and, during the same year, Katie flew back out to Australia to take part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! again. However, she was continually voted to do Bushtucker Trials and eventually decided to quit the show.
Earlier today, ITV1 confirmed that Gemma had quit - but Katie had hoped she would make it through.
"I think the first few days...it's hard to come accustomed to it. But after a few days you get used to it and I think she'll be fine - I think she'll be funny," Katie said.
See Gem, even the Pricey was rooting for you!
Saying that, Katie did insist that she has "no sympathy" for any of the celebrities taking part in the show!
"I haven't got any sympathy for anyone who goes in there," she stated. "You know what you're getting yourself into. It's not going to be easy with bugs and stuff.
"What you've got to remember is that nothing is going to kill you. Nothing. And those furry friends they put in, they're probably people's little pet rats. They're not going to hurt you."
