ITV has confirmed the TOWIE star has left the Australian jungle just three days into the series.
A statement said: "We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well."
Her exit will be seen on tonight's show, which airs on ITV at 9pm.
Since arriving in Australia, Gemma has struggled. After learning she would be going straight to the jungle slammer with four other campmates, Gemma suffered a panic attack and had to climb out of the helicopter chartered to take them there.
On Monday night (17 November), Gemma was seen telling her co-stars that she thought she had 'malaria' after suffering from an upset stomach.
However, yesterday Gemma's TOWIE co-star Ferne McCann insisted her pal was "not a quitter" and would see the show through until the end.
Even Gemma's mum Joan spoke out and described her daughter as "tough". But this morning, she retweeted Lydia Bright's mother Debbie who had posted: "@missgemcollins has quit the jungle noooooo there was so much more to come. My motto! in your darkest moments tomorrow is another day."
Meanwhile, last night Gemma's BFF Bobby Norris touched down in Australia ahead of a scheduled appearance on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Now!.
Bobby is due on tonight's episode of the spin-off show, however it is thought he could now be joined by Gemma following her departure from the jungle.
