Ferne appeared on Good Morning Britain this morning (18 November) to chat about her TOWIE friend and co-star and she believes Gemma can make it all the way - despite the tears!
Last night (17 November), Gemma broke down as the pressures of the jungle - including the lack of food and the exhausting heat - got too much for her.
But Ferne has insisted: "She's going to do it! I can't believe she's cracked this soon. But she's definitely not a quitter, so I think she will make the distance!"
As Gemma is currently staying in the jungle slammer, she is exempt from taking part in the Bushtucker Trials. But all that will change once she makes it into the main camp.
And given the helicopter tears on launch night, Ferne believes it's quite clear who is going to get all the nominations!
Chatting to GMB presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd, she added: "Gemma said to me before [flying to Australia], 'I've just got to get in there and I've just got to do it and do the trials'.
"I think we all know she's going to be nominated for the trials - she did fall at the first hurdle. She didn't even get in the helicopter!"
Despite their recent bust-up, the TOWIE stars are close friends and Ferne believes that viewers are seeing the real Gemma on I'm A Celebrity.
She explained: "With TOWIE, you only see a snippet of everyone's personalities, but I know Gem in and out and she's got a good heart. She has got a softer side, so I'm not surprised she is showing that.
"I don't think showing a different side to her personality is necessarily a bad thing."
And even if she looks like a quitter at times, Ferne assures fans: "With the knitting, she threw it down and was like, 'I'm not doing it, I'm not doing it!'. But then she thinks about it and gets on with it. Under pressure, she will do the trials.
"I spent 10 days with her in Ibiza and she's exactly the same - what you're seeing is Gemma Collins."
