Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson appeared on NBC's Today Show at Universal Orlando in Florida to promote their new release, but the one person missing was bandmate Zayn Malik.
"He's got a tummy bug, so he's not very well," Liam explained. "We only found out this morning so we're really sad, he is as well, that he can't be here for our album release. It's still going to be a great day I'm sure."
Of course, 1D's loyal fans made sure Zayn knew how much he was missed, as they soon got "#GetWellSoonZayn" trending on Twitter.
The show had to go on though, and the boys took to the stage for a few performances. And despite Harry calling the new album "exciting and nervous at the same time", he declared: "I think this is the album we're most proud of."
Proving that 1D have the most dedicated fans - aka Directioners - Niall tweeted: "This is a great day already! I can't believe our album is out! Like 5000 people here at Universal, our fans are the best! @TODAYshow."
Last Friday, 1D delivered a special performance of 'Night Changes' and current single 'Steal My Girl' on the bridge of EastEnders' Albert Square for BBC Children In Need.
Zayn was last seen on Saturday (15 November) arriving at Sarm Studios in Notting Hill, London, with his bandmates to record the Band Aid 30 single.
