Last night, Jess was shown defending herself while chatting about her break-up with Ricky's mum Jan and it appears Cara was particularly impressed with her pal's stance.
Taking to Twitter, Cara tweeted: "About time @MissJessWright_ stuck up for herself and saw what she was really worth x."
Following a two-year relationship, Ricky and Jessica split two weeks ago after it emerged he had sent private Twitter messages to X Factor 2013 contestant Lydia Lucy.
But the break-up has been far from amicable, with both the stars feeling they haven't been supported by the other one's family.

In the latest episode, shown on ITVBe last night, Jessica was seen having a frank chat with Jan in a restaurant and she blasted her for posting a recent tweet.
In the message, Jan apparently said she felt "betrayed" after Jessica's split with her son and the star was quick to take her to task.
Jess told Ricky's mum: "I think we needed to meet because it's all got really messy and it's a shame.
"I so know that it's your son and you have to protect him, but I feel like this needs to stop. I believe Ricky genuinely wouldn't like you to be doing these things on Twitter, I genuinely don't."
Jan replied: "I put one thing on Twitter saying I feel betrayed." But Jessica shot back: "You've retweeted loads of tweets." Ricky's mum then insisted: "I might have done, but that's just backing him up."
Drawing a line under their dispute, Jessica told Jan: "I don't want us to fall out but these tweets have got to stop, they've got to be deleted. It's not fair putting all this on me."
Breaking down in tears, Jan said she "loved" Jess and asked if they could still be friends. "Of course we can," she replied, before giving her a cuddle.
Meanwhile, Ricky is now on his way to Florida with Jan for a holiday after admitting his break-up with Jessica still makes him cry behind closed doors.
