One Direction's Niall Horan has revealed he is rooting for Lauren Platt to take this year's X Factor crown.

After Lola Saunders was sent home last Sunday, 17-year-old Lauren is now Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's only remaining girl in the competition.

And, hoping to take home the X Factor title, Lauren will be pleased to hear she has plenty of support from a very famous face... aka Niall!

During an interview with Alison Hammond on ITV's This Morning, Niall told the Strictly Come Dancing star that Lauren was his "favourite" out of this year's X Factor finalists.

Although he said he thinks Andrea Faustini will win the show, Niall said he would be rooting for Lauren while Louis Tomlinson agreed and told Alison he thought the youngster was "sweet".

All five of the 1D boys admitted they had been watching the show, but after finding fame themselves on The X Factor four years ago, Liam Payne revealed he can't enjoy watching the show completely.

"It makes me nervous watching it," Liam explained. "There's too many memories!"

We bet!

Since this year's live shows began, One Direction have been getting quite involved around the X Factor studios.

Not only did Louis pay a visit to boss Simon Cowell to help mentor his acts, he also lent a hand to Mel B and was gutted when her finalist - and his fave on the show - Jack Walton was sent home.

On Sunday, the entire band headed back to the X Factor, as they took to the stage themselves to pre-record a performance of their new single 'Steal My Girl', which is set to air on this Sunday's (9 November) results show.

Last month, 1D released the video to 'Steal My Girl' and fans were quick to notice Hollywood actor Danny Devito had a starring role.

Speaking about what it was like to work with the famous face, Liam simply told Alison: "He's a boss."

Continuing on from his pal, Zayn Malik added: "I have a lot of respect for him. He's a massive Hollywood star, but he's just really cool and really down to earth."

'Steal My Girl' features on One Direction's brand new album Four. Taking credit for their new album's title, Niall admitted he had come up with the name because "it was the band's fourth album"...

Liam then joked he had already thought of the next: "Five."

Oh, boys!

One Direction's new album Four hits the shelves on 17 November.
