Heading into the capital for a busy day of meetings, Jake was in for a nice surprise as he bumped into Paul while making his way into the ITV studios.
Busy rehearsing for Saturday night's live show, Paul was taking a break as Jake spotted him from across the street.
Clearly pleased to see his pal again, Jake ran up to Paul and grabbed him for a bear hug - aww!
The boys both made it through to the live shows as one of Mel B's four finalists and, having spent plenty of time together, have formed a close bond throughout the competition.
Last weekend, Jake was the fifth act to leave The X Factor after the judges opted to send him home instead of Louis Walsh's group Only The Young.
Following his exit, Jake paid tribute to Paul and his two other close friends from the competition - Jack Walton and Ben Haenow - telling his Twitter followers the boys helped to "make his experience" on the show.
Given that, it's no surprise he had a big smile on his face when he bumped into Paul earlier today!
While Paul is busy rehearsing for his Halloween-themed performance for this weekend's show, Jake has been planning what to do next for his musical career.
Revealing he has penned original songs, Jake has already lined up plenty of gigs to showcase his vocals in the next few weeks.
Speaking to Reveal after his elimination, Jake said he thinks people will be surprised when they hear his own music.
He said: "Once my own music gets released I think a few ears will perk up because I don't think it'll be what people will expect of me.
"I'm quite excited. It's songs that I've wrote and it's about my life."
But not entirely ruling out other routes to stardom, Jake also told us he wouldn't mind heading into the jungle for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
"I''d do anything! I'd go in the jungle," he claimed. "Give me a camel's testicle - I'll stick it in my mouth, I'm not bothered!" Nice...
