The Strictly Come Dancing star, 25, says that she decided to ditch her moniker as she thought it would sound too much like Chelsea FC's football ground Stamford Bridge!
Saturdays singer Frankie told the Irish Mirror: "My dad really wanted me to keep Sandford as my surname and we did think about double-barreling, but Sandford-Bridge sounds a little bit too much like Chelsea's football ground [and Wayne's former training ground] Stamford Bridge, which isn't ideal!"
Singer Frankie officially changed her name soon after getting wed to Wayne in July.
Frankie is currently starring on Strictly Come Dancing and, partnered with Kevin Clifton, also revealed that she and ex-Chelsea ace Wayne, 34, are enjoying life with baby son Parker, now one, saying they are "loving it".
The pair celebrated Parker's first birthday on October 18 with a party for all their family and friends and it's clear Frankie is more settled than ever.
Frankie also told the newspaper:: "I'm only 25, we're newlyweds and I have a gorgeous baby boy. I am really happy."
Last week, Frankie and Kevin impressed the Strictly judges with their Foxtrot and finished up fourth from the top.
Earlier today, following a tough rehearsal session, the singer tweeted: "Hmmm another hard one... Nandos then back to it. That should do the trick!"
Keep up the good work, guys, you deserve that chicken!
