X Factor group Stereo Kicks couldn't have looked happier this morning as they made their way to rehearsals in London.

Barclay Beales, Chris Leonard, Casey Johnson, Jake Sims, James Graham, Tom Mann, Charlie Jones and Reece Bibby were successfully saved by the public during last night's results show.

Stereo Kicks were elated with the result, and they jumped for joy as Dermot O'Leary called out their name, but it's been a difficult week for the boys...

After ending up in the bottom two last week alongside Chloe-Jasmine Whichello, Stereo Kicks' mentor Louis Walsh said eight members were too many for a group.

"Simon Cowell is the person that made this band an eight-piece," Louis told Sarah-Jane Crawford on Xtra Factor last week (19 October). "Eight never worked in a boyband, but he put eight people together. Then he starts blaming me on live TV.

"I wouldn't have eight people - I never wanted eight people in the band. I wouldn't change anybody but I'll talk to the boys and see if they want to do anything."

The comments hit Stereo Kicks hard and they were determined to make a point this weekend as they performed a medley of The Beatles' hits, 'Let It Be' and 'Hey Jude'.

And the result? They received a standing ovation from Simon, Mel B and Louis for their efforts!

Making a dig at Louis, Simon even declared on Saturday night: "I think this is a turning point. Any time you want to leave Louis and join me, I'll mentor you."

During Sunday night's results show, Jake Quickenden was voted off after ending up in the bottom two alongside Only The Young.

Speaking to Reveal this morning (27 October), Jake says Stereo Kicks could be the dark horse of the singing competition.

Jake has praised James as Stereo Kicks' "secret weapon".

"Louis said a comment that he probably shoudn't have said but I think eight's working now," Jake tells us. "Stereo Kicks smashed it on Saturday. They've got a secret weapon in James. He's the lead singer and he's incredible.

"Personally, he's one of the best singers in the competition. I think James suits a boyband. His voice is that powerful that if he gets it right every week, some acts will be in trouble."
