Jake was sent home by the judges last night after finding himself in the sing-off with Only The Young - but he is hoping to still have a career in the music industry.
While also thanking his fellow X Factor contestants for their friendship, Jake told fans it could just be the beginning of things to come.
He tweeted: "Made some truly amazing mates, am gonna miss the house. Thanks for support and even for the sh*t, it made me smile!! Who knows what future holds."
Meanwhile, some of those closest to Jake in the house have also been passing on their good wishes to him.
Jay James, who is in Simon's Overs category, told his fans: The moment @jakequickenden14 walked into the canteen last night to a massive applause from everyone's friends & family...
"Such a LUSH lad & hunk, incredibly gifted songwriter 2 can't wait 2 see him have bigger success from this wonderful platform."
Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Louis Walsh had all warned that Jake could be facing the chop last night. Dermot O'Leary later revealed that he was in fact in the bottom two.
Despite the judges not being overly-impressed with Only The Young's sing-off performance, the three of them decided to send Jake packing.
Jake's mentor Mel B - who obviously voted to send Only The Young home - was visibly upset and struggled to hold back tears as Jake left the stage.
Late last night, she tweeted: "@JakeQuickenden I love you, you will be missed on the show but not as a friend to me." Aww!
