Reality TV star Kim, who tied the knot with rapper Kanye West in May, says it's "ridiculous" that their one-year-old daughter North has also been targeted.
Speaking to the BBC at the launch of her new Lipsy clothing range, Kim referred to an alleged incident on a recent long-haul flight.
Kim said she was on a 12-hour flight with North, where she experienced abuse with a person making "insane" comments.
The 34-year-old said: "She [North] was young enough to not know what was being said."
While Kim said officials tried to handle the situation, she declared: "You just have to take the high road. Especially being a mum, you can't react. You have to set the right example for your children."
It's not the first time Kim has spoken out about discrimination. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared her heartfelt feelings with fans in a passionate blog post in May, addressing concerns about North's future.
She wrote: I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don't have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the colour of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation.
"I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing."
Kim and Kanye welcomed North, their first child together, on 15 June in 2013. The high-profile couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday 24 May at the 16th century Belvedere Fort in Florence.
Elsewhere, the Kardashian sisters - Kim, Kourtney and Khloe - have returned to the fashion limelight releasing their fifth clothing collection for Lipsy.
