The former TOWIE star, 28, courted controversy in the early hours of Saturday morning (25 October) when she shared a snap of herself with a suspicious looking hand-rolled cigarette in her mouth.
She then captioned the shot with an emoticon of a marijuana leaf.
But once her fans began to criticise her for posting such a provocative photo, Lauren quickly deleted the post.
Hours later, Lauren woke up and wrote an apology to her 1.3 million fans.
She wrote: "Sorry for any offence caused from stupid pic last night, messing about posing as Rihanna with unlit rolled up cigarette. I don't condone drugs."
And, as usual, the world of social media were quick to give reality TV star Lauren some feedback!
While one told Lauren simply to "grow up", a more sympathetic fan told her: "Ignore the haters. People will always find something to knock you down with... I like that you are just you!"
Another fan wrote: "Good of you to apologise @LaurenGoodger you're in the public eye and younger people will look up to you x."
Lauren is no stranger to controversy.

While in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year, she incensed her fellow housemates when she appeared to brag about her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean's conviction for armed robbery.
She also has a habit of posting some rather provocative snaps on Instagram.
On Thursday (23 October), Lauren posted a picture of herself in a purple g-string with the message: "Another Belfie for you #hairshot."
However, Lauren also took to Twitter this week to express concern about her father, who was involved in a road accident.
She wrote: "Hoping my Dad Ok came off his motorbike tonight just had call he in hospital .. So now waiting up to see his scans ok makes you realis [sic]"
