X Factor finalist Fleur East has dismissed suggestion that her mentor Simon Cowell has the hots for her!

Earlier this week, Fleur joined her X Factor pals on the red carpert at the MOBO Awards, but when asked by a reporter whether she thought Simon fancied her, the 26-year-old singerwas quick to say no.

Dismissing the very though, Fleur said: "I haven't noticed a twinkle in Simon's eye."

Well, that doesn't come as a surprise to us, as the music mogul is happily loved-up with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their eight-month-old son Eric!

"He's really down to earth and we get on really well, but he's more of a mentor to me," Fleur continued. "I really look up to him and take all of his advice."

As one of Simon's four finalists, Fleur has been spending plenty of time with the 54-year-old in the rehearsal studios lately as they perfect her performance for Saturday night's live show.

No doubt Fleur will be pulling out all the stops to impress the panel this week, after Mel B accused her of cheating in her last performance.

The fiesty Spice Girl questioned whether Fleur was actually singing during her rendition of Monie Love's 'It's A Shame'.

While giving her feedback on the performance, Mel said she couldn't hear Fleur's vocals when it came to the chorus, telling the X Factor finalist she felt like it was "cheating".

Following her remarks, Simon was not happy and jumped to Fleur's defence, ensuring that his act had been singing the entire time.

He said: "You're making the audience think this girl is cheating and that's unfair. She's not cheating.

"We put the backing vocals up because she was singing a different thing during the chorus."

Despite Mel's comments, Fleur was saved by the public and will sing again this weekend during the 'Movie Night' themed show on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini suffered a double blow as both her acts, Stephanie Nala and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello, left the competition.

Stephanie was sent home after receiving the fewest public votes while Chloe was voted out by the judges following the sing-off.
