Stevi, who is in Simon Cowell's Overs category of the singing competition, was apparently due on stage for Saturday night's live show when he suddenly went AWOL.
According to sources, he was busy getting to know a female dancer. Oo-err!
Speaking to The Sun, an insider said producers were frantically deciding whether to bring on a different contestant in his place when they found him.
"Just as they were about to give up, they found him getting cosy with one of the dancers," the source said.
Wow, go Stevi!
Stevi, 34, was sent home at X Factor's Judge' Houses, however Cheryl Fernandez-Versini brought him back into the competition as Simon wildcard.
On Saturday, after making it on stage in time, he performed Rick Astley's hit song 'Never Gonna Give You Up' for the show's 80s week.
Although he wasn't too keen on the singing, judge Louis Walsh was quick to praise Stevi for his talents with the ladies.
"You are living the dream, you're a sex god," Louis said. "However, it was like having a really bad dream and being in a karaoke bar in Benidorm." Oh dear!
Meanwhile, one woman he hasn't managed to woo romantically is fellow contestant Chloe-Jasmine Whichello, who was eliminated on Sunday night.
Speaking to Reveal yesterday, Chloe denied recent rumours that she and Stevi were enjoying a romance.
Well, it seems he already has his hands full!
An X Factor spokesman has declined to comment.
