One Direction's Niall Horan took a tube selfie yesterday - and he seems to have gone unnoticed!

Irish heartthrob Niall decided to ditch private transport and brave the London Underground on Monday (13 October), and took a selfie with commuters standing in the background.

Despite being one fifth of the biggest boy band in the world, Niall managed to escape being mobbed by crowds as he enjoyed a relatively stress-free ride.

Niall isn't the first 1D star to take the tube, as last year bandmate Harry Styles took the Northern Line to watch Elton John's iTunes Festival performance at the Roundhouse in Camden.

Other big stars who have been known to take the tube in London include Jay Z and Chris Martin, who were on the way to Jay's 'Magna Carter Tour', and Rihanna also made headlines in 2012 after taking the jubilee line to beat traffic.

Over the weekend, Niall headed down to the X Factor studios in Wembley where he met with some of this year's contestants, including 17-year-old Lauren Platt.

Having been through the exact process himself, Niall was the perfect person to pass on some advice to this year's hopefuls.
