The pair admitted that they had "hooked up" while out in New York in the summer, which led to a showdown with Lucy's ex and Proudlock's best mate Jamie Laing, but once back in Chelsea it seems nothing had developed between them.
Taking a countryside break in Devon, Lucy was seen telling Stevie Johnson that she could see herself developing feelings for Proudlock, and confessed: "I like him."
Meanwhile, Proudlock was grilled by Spencer Matthews and Alex Mytton about his New York romance with Lucy.
Keeping coy, Serge DeNimes designer Proudlock said: "She's a cool chick. I am attracted to her."
Apart from exchanging quick greetings at a bar, Lucy and Proudlock didn't have the chance to speak to each other, but all that changed once Proudlock seeked her out at Spencer's birthday party.
Finally getting the chance to speak, he said: "I feel a little bit like you've been ignoring me. I just get that feeling."
A confused Lucy admitted: "I was avoiding you, but I don't know why."
Proudlock continued: "We've never actually hung out, just me and you, so I was thinking how about we hang out? We can go for dinner or something?"
Lucy asked: "Like a date? That sounds nice."
The pair then agreed to keep it a secret. Yes, a secret! We wonder how Jamie will react to that?!
The trailer for next week's episode shows Lucy and Proudlock going on a romantic dinner date, and while they look smitten, Lucy later confides in Binky Felstead saying: "There's something about him that I don't trust."
Will Lucy and Proudlock be Chelsea's newest couple? Or will it be over before it's even begun?
