Impressed by his pal's fancy footwork, Olly thinks Caroline has a serious chance at winning the show - even if she herself doesn't think she could.
In a chat with Free Radio, Olly said: "[Caroline's] going to surprise a lot of people... she surprised me!"
Since Strictly Come Dancing kicked off, Caroline and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev have been dancing up a storm in the ballroom and landed themselves some pretty decent scores with the judges.
Last week, Caroline took to the floor to dance the Tango and after a sleek routine, much to the delight of the Strictly panel, Caroline has her good friend Olly thinking she would make a worthy winner.
The cheeky X Factor star was spotted supporting Caroline in the audience last week and now Olly has said he was surprised by "how amazing" his friend actually is at dancing.
The 30-year-old said he knew Caroline wasn't too shabby on her feet after seeing her hit the dancefloor on many a night out and, on seeing her Strictly performances, Olly thinks Caroline could make it to the end of the competition.
He said: "Frankie from The Saturdays and Pixie are predictably going to be good at dancing but someone like Caroline she isn't – people don't expect her to be good... I think she's going to be one of the biggest ones on the show this year!"
Admitting Caroline tends to "put herself down" a lot of time, Olly said he doesn't think his friend knows just how good she is, before saying he is very "proud" of her.
Last weekend (5 October), Caroline sailed through to this week of the competition thanks scoring highly on the leaderboard and the public vote. The first celeb to be eliminated was Masterchef's Gregg Wallace after the judges decided to save Mrs Brown's Boys star Jennifer Gibney instead.
This week, Caroline and Pasha will take on the rumba and, by the sounds of things, the TV presenter has been throwing everything she's got into her rehearsals.
Tweeting earlier this week, Caroline said: "This Rumba is pretty emoshhhhh."
Meanwhile, since Caroline has been taking part in the BBC show she has faced criticism for jumping ship to ITV's rival channel after presenting on The Xtra Factor.
But, addressing the claims on Alan Carr's Chatty Man, Caroline has said her channel move wasn't intentional it was just good timing.
She said: "Everyone says, 'Oh you've done it on purpose - you've gone over to the rival' I didn't really see it like that, the job I was doing was no longer mine... so yey - good timing!"
