As the new series kicks off tomorrow night (8 October), viewers will see Lauren and Lewis' romance come to an abrupt end in Ibiza.
During the TOWIE press day in London, Lydia confirmed the couple's split, telling Reveal: "They have split but you'll have to watch the show to see how it will all unfold."
Lewis' rep has also confirmed the split, but both Lewis and Lauren have not directly commented.
Last week, Lewis sent a tweet saying he was having "a funny few days" in Ibiza, while Lauren praised BFF Vas J Morgan as her "saviour". The cryptic tweets came ahead of TOWIE's new trailer, which shows Lauren confronting Lewis over cheating allegations.
During their stay on the White Isle, pictures emerged of Lauren in tears while dining out with best friend Vas, with a source saying Vas was telling Lauren about rumours that Lewis had been unfaithful.
Further pictures emerged of Lauren and Lewis talking, and things looked pretty heated as Lauren stormed off leaving Lewis clutching a glass of drink in his hand.
During series 12 of TOWIE, viewers saw romance blossom between Lauren and Lewis, and the pair made their relationship official during the season finale when Lewis asked Lauren to be his girlfriend.
The new 13th series of TOWIE will kick off with two opening episodes starting on Wednesday 8 October.
The show will move from its usual home of ITV2 to new channel ITVBe. The Ibiza special will be followed by a one-off sister show hosted by TOWIE narrator Denise Van Outen and ex-TOWIE star Mark Wright live from Sugar Hut.
TOWIE returns with The Only Way is Ibiza on Wednesday 8 October at 9pm, exclusively on ITVBe.
