The Inside Soap Awards winner, who plays Kerry Wyatt in Emmerdale, proved why she bagged herself the title of Funniest Female as she humoured Reveal while talking about her favourite Eastender at the bash on Wednesday night (1 October).
Admitting Jake had caught her eye, Laura gushed: "He's brilliant, he's super-talented!"
As Jake showed off his fancy footwork during his first live performance on Strictly last weekend (26 September), he definitely blew Lorna away. So much so, that when asked who she was rooting for on the BBC One show, the 31-year-old couldn't remember any of the other contestants...
Laura laughed: "I'm trying to think who else is in it... I can't remember, I'm too focused on him! He's obviously the only reason I'm watching..."
A big fan of Strictly and a lover of dancing, Laura said she would love to do the show herself and the Geordie even revealed her signature move - the sl*t drop. The Geordie Shore girls will be so proud!
Laura said: "I did a sl*t drop in the show about a year and a half ago and ever since I look at my script and I've got to do another sl*t drop. My knees are really sore, I think I've done my right knee in."
We wonder what Craig Revel Horwood would make of that in the ballroom!
One other talent competition that has had the soap star hooked lately is The X Factor.
Claiming Mel B is her favourite judge, Laura said she loved the Spice Girl's personality: "I think Mel's brilliant, I really believe her," she said. "I don't think she's trying to be somebody or trying to have an opinion, she's really honest and to the point. She says it how it is, I think she's really funny, I like her."
But, there's only one judge she would like to impress... Mr Simon Cowell.
After admitting that she fancies X Factor's Mr Nasty too, Laura said: "I don't know what it is about that man... He's just got this thing that makes you go 'yes I respect everything you say'. I want to sing in front of him and see what he thinks of me."
Would she really sing in front of Simon if she had the chance?
"I'd definitely have a go" Laura said. "I'm in the Emmerdale band, there's four of us in it we've got our first gig coming up... I don't know how I got roped into that."
She added: "We've all decided to turn up as cowgirls so I'm not to sure how that's going to go down. We're singing Bastille, Avicii, Dolly Parton.... It's all very upbeat, so we'll probably be pulling out a few sl*t drops there - obviously."
We wouldn't expect anything less!
Joking her risque dance moves is what she'll become known for instead, Laura joked: "I'll probably win an award for [sl*t dropping] next time!"
