The Hollyoaks beauty, who plays Maxine Minniver, has been put to the test with her hard-hitting storylines lately, but after proving she's got what it takes to win the Best Actress title, Nikki was awarded the sought-after gong.
Speaking to Reveal about her win, she said: "I just can't believe it!"
Up against some stiff competition, Nikki beat off the likes of EastEnders' Lindsey Coulson (Carol Jackson), Emmerdale actress Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor) and Corrie's Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley Cropper) to take home the Best Actress award.
Speaking about her fellow nominees, Nikki said: "The people that were nominated in this category are absolutely phenomenal and to even be in the same surrouding as those people was enough for me."
And it wasn't just the Best Actress award Nikki will be putting on her mantlepiece as the 30-year-old scooped herself a double whammy and bagged herself an award for Best Storyline too.
Nikki, who was wearing a £550 dress from Forever Unique, has had Hollyoaks fans gripped with her character Maxine and her onscreen boyfriend, Patrick Blake's (played by Jeremy Sheffield) hard-hitting domestic violence storyline - a far cry from her days as Corrie's glamorous schoolgirl Candice Stowe.
Speaking about her role as Maxine, Nikki said: "I'm so grateful to Hollyoaks for Maxine. Up until this point everyone has always seen me as the comedy, glamorous... they've never seen me as a downtrodden, serious role. For Hollyoaks to entrust me with such a serious storyline, I'm so grateful and really blessed."
But, she did add now that people have seen her cry, they can't get enough of the waterworks!
Hinting there may be plenty more tears for her character, Nikki joked: "Now they go, 'Oh she can cry! Let's make her cry all the time' so I think there will be a lot more for Maxine."
