After the band split earlier this year, Stephanie decided to go it alone and described how tough it was, saying: "I found the pressure hard. If you mess up, only you mess up and nobody else."
Luckily, she had Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's support at the audition, who told the singer: "I understand the pressure you're under because I was in a band and when I left, I hated it."
Stephanie added: "It's really different because I had people around me all the time before. I didn't really move when I was in the band. I used to be quite still. But as a soloist obviously you have to keep people entertained."
Although the band parted ways, the 20-year-old brunette confirmed they're all still pals, saying: "Musically The Luminites all wanted different things. I think when you're in a band you have to all agree for it to work. We're all still friends though."
And despite her nerves of doing it alone, she wowed judges at her audition and secured four yeses, before going on to bag a place at the Judges' Houses in a hope to impress Cheryl and Tinie Tempah.
She's no stranger to mingling with stars, either. Lucky Stephanie has even met One Direction and admitted that hunky Harry Styles is her favourite - us too!
