When Kerrianne, 23, revealed that she was risking her job in a shoe shop by auditioning, Simon kindly rang up her boss to apologise for her skipping work!
The hopeful explained: "My area manager said I couldn't have time off to do the room audition and if I didn't turn up there'd be a disciplinary. I told Simon about it, so he rang my boss. My boss loves me now!"
But after landing the last seat at Boot Camp's six chair challenge, the Teeside lass may not have to be working in the shop for much longer.
Kerrianne's always had her heart set on performing and even attended stage school, but tragically she was forced to drop out after being hospitalised with kidney failure.
"It was through dehydration," she revealed. "My body wasn't reacting to any antibiotics and it got really bad. My blood turned septic and everything. I felt out of it the whole time."
However, she's still determined to achieve her dreams and once even warmed up for Pixie Lott and James Arthur at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena.
Now she's getting ready to impress Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Tinie Tempah in the Judges Houses' round, but she admitted that it will be more intense than other auditions.
"The hard thing about Judges' Houses is it's so intimate" she said. "Obviously the room audition is a bit like that too. It feels like you've walked into the telly."
