The Essex teen has revealed that she once auditioned for the role of Louise Mitchell, who is Phil and Lisa Mitchell's daughter in the BBC soap.
Despite making the final five, she didn't end up bagging the job, explaining: "My best friend got it. She was so right for the part it's unreal! You learn to be happy for other people."
But Lauren was clearly set out to achieve in the music scene instead. She got four 'yeses' with her performance of Queen Latifah's 'I Know Where I Have Been' and has since been put through to the Judges' Houses.
Gearing up for her next performance to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in Niece, she said: "Over the past few years I've seen so many people crash and burn at Judges' Houses. I'm just going to enjoy it. If I didn't get through, I'd never walk away feeling bitter towards the other contestants."
And wise comments like that make you forget that Lauren is only 16, but she's explained why she's already got her head screwed on: "I was always quite independent anyway and my dad wasn't really around, so because I'm the oldest child I took on the role of the man of the house!"
We're sure that Lauren's sensible mind will help her think straight when she's serenading Cheryl and Tinie Tempah in the South of France!
