The reality star spoke out after he was briefly suspended from the Essex-based series earlier this year following a brush with the law.
James – who goes by the nickname Lockie – told The Sun that he hoped other TOWIE stars would learn from his mistake and that of co-star Mario Falcone, who was also suspended temporarily this year.
Lockie said: "It should be a big wake up call. No one is bigger than the show and what we do reflects on the show. We've got a young audience and it's not good, it's embarrassing."
Now, Lockie and Mario are both back filming on TOWIE for the upcoming 13th series, which premieres next month on new channel ITVBe.
They joined co-stars in Ibiza last week to film the opening two episodes on the White Isle, so we're expecting plenty of fun, partying and, of course, the odd spot of drama…
So far, however, it looks like we won't be seeing any drama from Lockie and girlfriend Danielle Armstrong. They've had their fair share of low points in the past, but while filming in Ibiza, they seem to have been more loved up than ever!
Cameras caught the blissfully happy duo indulging in a very amorous PDA while filming at Ocean Beach Ibiza recently!
TOWIE will kick off on ITVBe on 8 October, with the first episode being followed by a special one-off show hosted by ex-TOWIE star Mark Wright and TOWIE narrator Denise Van Outen.
Mark and Denise will broadcast live from Sugar Hut, interviewing cast members and getting all the behind the scenes goss from Ibiza.
