Not only did the Italian singer get to spend time with his Boys' category mentor Mel B, he also met her guest judge - fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's Judges' Houses episodes, 20-year-old Andrea said: "Since I was a child, I was maybe three or four, and I used to sing Spice Girls songs. I was a huge fan.
"When I met Mel B for the first time in my room audition, oh my god. I was so happy, I was freaking out. I love her voice, everything about her!"
Andrea wowed all four X Factor judges - Mel, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini - when he sang 'Who's Loving You' in his first audition.
Simon did mention the fact he is from Rome in Italy, not the UK, but Andrea has strong reasons for trying his luck here rather than on the Italian version of the show.
He added: "Italy is the country where I was born, where I grew up. I love my country but I know that British X Factor could really help me be the singer I want to be.
"From a musical point of view, I feel so close to the show. I used to watch The X Factor all the time, I am a huge fan, I watched it on YouTube."
Andrea will be seen going head-to-head with Mel's five other Boys - Jake Quickenden, Jordan Morris, Paul Akister, Danny Dearden and Jack Walton - in Cancun, Mexico, this weekend.
