Courteney Cox has admitted she was a tad envious of all the attention Jennifer Aniston's famous 'Rachel' haircut got on Friends!

The now-iconic 'Rachel' do was created by hairdresser Chris McMillan and seen on Jen's character during the first two seasons of the hit comedy, inspiring a wave of copycat looks across the world.

But speaking on US TV this week, co-star Courteney confessed she was still a bit miffed / confused about why the 'Rachel' got so much attention and the haircut of her own character, Monica, was overlooked.

"You know, it kind of bums me out," she joked onJimmy Kimmel Live. "We had the same hairdresser! I don't understand! I got nothing! I just kept changing my hair [throughout the series] because I thought, 'If you don't like it, I'll just keeping doing it!' Nothing ever stuck!"

A cute crop in season four.

Everyone is talking about Friends right now as the show has been celebrating 20 years since its first episode was broadcast. Insane, right?!

The comedy ran for ten years, wrapping in 2004, and making Monica, Rachel, Ross, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe part of our lives forever.

Courteney revealed the cast used to gather together every Thursday night to watch the episodes airing for the first year, but joked by the time year ten rolled around that was no longer happening!

She also admitted that while people do tend to ask her a lot about Friends, during a recent holiday in Turks & Caicos with fiance Johnny McDaid, she was slightly annoyed fellow holidaymakers didn't seem that impressed by her superstar credentials!

Explaining that she'd got slightly restless after four days on the Caribbean island, she set out to make friends... with no results.

"I could not make a single friend. I tried so hard! Maybe it was my hair?! No one wanted to talk to me. I was like, 'Gosh! Monica? Friends? Nothing!'

"Then on the last day, day seven, someone swam up to me and said, 'I just wanna say I'm a big Friends fan and can I get a picture?' I was like, 'Are you kidding? A picture?! We are eating lunch together!'"
