Shoe store worker Kerrianne belted out Carrie's track 'I Know You Won't' during her audition at Wembley Arena, broadcast on ITV over the weekend, and Carrie is a fan!
Carrie tweeted: "Saw a girl named Kerrianne Covell singing 'I Know You Won't' on X Factor. Not easy to sing but she made it look like it was! Well done!"
That's pretty high praise - and Carrie does know what she's talking about! The gorgeous country star - who is pregnant with her first child - won the fourth series of American Idol and has gone on to sell millions of records worldwide. She's won a slew of awards including six Grammys and is reportedly worth more than $100 million!
Kerrianne was, as you'd expected, just a bit excited at seeing Carrie's praise! She posted a screengrab of the tweet to her Facebook account with the caption: "Absolutely buzzing!"
Her fans were quick to reiterate Carrie's praise, with comments including: "Her words are true. Just watched your audition for the second time and still got goosebumps."
Kerrianne made it through to Boot Camp and later tweeted to fans: "The past 2 days have been crazy! I love you all so much! Thanks so much for the support."
This is the second time Kerrianne has auditioned for X Factor: her first attempt was at the tender age of 16, but she didn't make it through to see the judges.
"I wasn't ready then. In fact, I wouldn't have been ready a couple of years ago," she told Reveal. "Now I feel mentally ready for it. I'm 23 and I had nothing to lose by auditioning. I've watched the show ever since the beginning, when Steve Brookstein won, and it has always been something I wanted to do.
"I'm a firm believer in the saying, 'Everything happens for a reason'. I felt I needed to audition this year and I got through!"
