X Factor contestant Raign has said she had no idea Cheryl Fernandez-Versini had muttered "I can't stand her" during the arena audition.

Raign performed her own song, 'Don't Let Me Go', on the Wembley Arena auditions shown this weekend on ITV – and it's fair to say Cheryl isn't a fan.

Raign performed her own song at Wembley.

After screwing her face up while Raign was performing, she told fellow judge Mel B: "She's really annoying." Later, Cheryl added: "I can't stand her. I couldn't work with her. There is no way. I'm allergic to her."

Despite Cheryl's lack of enthusiasm, Raign – real name Rachel Rabbin – got three yeses from Mel B, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell to make it through to Boot Camp.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine today, Raign said of Cheryl's comments: "I was focusing on my performance and you can't actually hear what the judges are saying while you're singing.

"You can barely see them too because you're really quite far away and the lights are on you."

Cheryl wasn't impressed...

As for Cheryl's comment that she couldn't work with Raign, is the singer worried if she gets through Boot Camp and ends up in Cheryl's group?!

"I would hope we could sit down and have a chat and get to know each other and hopefully she'll get to know more of my personality and it would be fine."

Raign told Lorraine Kelly that she hoped she and Cheryl could have a chat.

Although Cheryl didn't give Raign a yes for Boot Camp, she did admit Raign had a talent for writing music – which Raign is holding onto.

"At the end she was actually really positive with her feedback and I try to focus on the positive in situations."

Raign admitted that watching X Factor back has made her realise she talks too much when she's nervous, saying: "I am confident but it was a new experience and I've learned when I have nervous energy I tend to overtalk the situation. That's one of the biggest things I've learned from watching back on TV. 'Rachel, stop talking, just sing!'"

Raign has already had a number one song in Russia after featuring as a vocalist on a dance track but says she entered X Factor because nothing beats it as a platform for getting yourself known.

"I've been a huge fan of X Factor for so long as it's a platform like no other. It can really give people from all walks of life the most amazing opportunity to let their talent have a chance. It was just something I really wanted to do."

Outside of X Factor, Raign released the music video to her song 'A Queen's Head' this week - and it's already going down a storm with fans!

X Factor continues this Friday on ITV1.
