Made In Chelsea star Fran Newman-Young has given her seal of approval to her pal Louise Thompson's new boyfriend.

Fran joined a whole host of stars as she took to the red carpet at the Cosmopolitan #FashFest last night (18 September), where she dished the goss on Louise's new American beau, Alik Alfus.

"I've met him, he's great, he's very different to the Chelsea guy," Fran said. "[He's] very confident, confident but not arrogant, he's really charming and he treats her well. And he has his own leather business... and I really need a new leather jacket... so he's more than welcome to make me one!"

Louise met Alik this summer in New York while the gang were filming a six-part spin-off series, aptly named Made In Chelsea: New York.

And it seems things have been heating up between the pair, with Alik even confessing he was in love with Louise during the season finale. D'awww!

Fran has given Louise's boyfriend Alik her seal of approval.

But while Louise expressed concern that their relationship might not survive the distance, it seems things have actually been going from strength to strength, with Alik currently visiting his lady in her hometown of Chelsea.

Fran also revealed she reckons newcomer Billie Carroll made a mistake by getting with Spencer Matthews at the end of the series.

Billie had originally been dating Stevie Johnson, but he soon broke things off, choosing to concentrate on rebuilding his relationship with ex-girlfriend Stephanie Pratt instead.

"If I was Billie, I probably wouldn't have just gone with Spencer at the end," Fran admitted. "I know it was bad that Stevie ended up getting with Stephanie, but there was so much history there. His eyes when she walked in…!

"He should have told Billie sooner, but I think It was fair enough," she added. "If I was Billie I would have written them all off and gone with the girls!"
