The photo seemingly confirms recent reports that Max will indeed be appearing in the final season of the popular US comedy-drama.
Mark, who plays McKinley High's resident bad boy Noah 'Puck' Puckerman, was dressed in uniform while playing on a drum set. Next to him was Max, who clutched a bottle of water while wearing a grey tracksuit.
Mark posted the photo to Twitter last night, saying: "Jammin with the homie @maxgeorge in the Sawditorium. Been told once or a million times that we look alike."
Since taking a hiatus with The Wanted, 'Glad You Came' singer Max has been focusing his sights on an acting career.
Last week (12 September), reports emerged that Max would be joining Glee after he pulled out of a personal appearance at a nightclub. When a Twitter user asked why George pulled out, Tiger Tiger Portsmouth replied: "We were told he has to fly to LA to appear in Glee. Filming was brought forward."
For the sixth and final season, four originals including Mark, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays and Dianna Agron have been invited back for the farewell episodes, which is expected to jump ahead in time.
The likes of Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Dot-Marie Jones, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera and Amber Riley remain as series regulars.
In October last year, Glee's show producer Ryan Murphy announced that the show will officially come to an end after the sixth season.
Ryan said the series finale would honour the late Cory Monteith, who played loveable high school quarterback Finn Hudson, following his death in Vancouver, Canada on 13 July 2013.
