Pregnant Holly Willoughby is ever nearing her due date and today the TV presenter said goodbye to ITV's This Morning... but only for a little while!

Today marked Holly's last show on the This Morning sofa as she heads off on maternity leave to prepare for baby number three.

And making sure she went out feeling extra special, the 33-year-old was treated to a montage of her memorable moments, a huge bouquet of flowers and a very tasty looking cake.

Back in March, Holly announced she was expecting her third child with husband Dan Baldwin and now in the final stages of her pregnancy, it's time for Hols to put her feet up and enjoy watching the tele (rather than being on it) as she prepares for her new arrival.

Joining co-host Phillip Schofield for one last show before she pops, Holly received a special send off as she passed over her presenting duties to Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden - her maternity cover.

Lately, Amanda has been on standby to cover Holly in case she happened to go into labour early and now she will be joining Phillip as the show's new co-host as from Monday next week (22 September).

Speaking about her upcoming presenting stint, Amanda has said: "I'm over the moon to get the chance to present one of my favourite shows on TV and I'm thrilled to be keeping Holly's seat on the sofa warm."

Holly has also been replaced by Gino D'Acampo on Celebrity Juice while she takes time away.

Passing the baton to Amanda on today's show, Holly received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the 43-year-old and was also presented with a gorgeous baby-inspired cake.

The two-tiered cake was both blue and pink - as Holly has previously said she won't be finding out her baby's sex until it's born - and featured cute baby building blocks that spelled out 'Good Luck Holly', with 'We'll Miss You' written along the base.

How cute!

On receiving her cake, Holly said: "I'm not sharing with anybody! Oooh a pink stripe and a blue stripe… that's what I'm more excited about, is finding out what it is..."

And despite her husband's best efforts to make everyone think they were having a baby girl - Dan called the studio and said: "It's a girl everyone, it's a girl!" - Holly insisted he was just joking and the pair still don't actually know!

Taking to Twitter after the show, Holly tweeted: "That's me done, thanks for all your beautiful messages, feeling very emotional...just looking forward to being a mummy again....big love."
