Cara Delevingne has bagged herself a role in upcoming movie Paper Towns.

Model Cara is set to play lead character Margo Roth Spiegelman in John Green's film - the same man behind this year's hit teen movie, The Fault In Our Stars. She's landed a pretty big job, right?!

Swapping the catwalk for the big screen, Cara will star in the film alongside The Fault In Our Stars actor Nat Wolff.

After receiving plenty of congratulations from fans, Cara said: "Thank you so much guys!! I am so excited! Ahhhh!"

John even tweeted about Cara being casted, saying: "Cara Delevingne's audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!"

Set in Florida, Paper Towns tells the story of Quentin Jacobsen (Wolff) who follows clues left by his missing neighbour Margo (Delevingne) – with whom he also happens to be smitten with.

This is not Cara's first acting job but it is her biggest. She dabbled in acting in 2012 with a minor role in Anna Karenina and has a forthcoming appearance in The Face of an Angel, which is based on the Amanda Knox murder case.

Cara also made her TV debut this year when she appeared in Sky Arts' one-off drama, Timeless.
