The Duchess of Cambridge was forced to pull out of attending the event as she's suffering from hypermesis gravidarium, a severe form of morning sickness.
Kate, 32, suffered from the same illness while pregnant with her first child, Prince George, who is now one.
Kensington Palace announced yesterday that Kate would not be attending the Invictus Games launch as she is still feeling unwell and is being treated by doctors at home.
That meant Prince William, 32, was there without his wife. He was pictured sitting next to brother Harry, his father Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.
Harry has been the driving force behind the Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured members of the Armed Forces.
More than 400 athletes from 13 countries will compete.
Meanwhile, the pregnant duchess is resting at home. Her pregnancy was announced earlier this week when she was forced to cancel a planned engagement alongside William in Oxford.
A statement said that while Kate, William and their families were "thrilled" by the baby news, poor Kate was once again suffering from severe morning sickness.
Her first solo overseas trip to Malta at the end of September is also in jeopardy, with a palace rep saying they will assess her wellness for the visit nearer the time.
