The second in line to the throne looked cheerful and happy as he opened the Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building on Monday morning (8 September).
And why wouldn't he be?!
Earlier today, the royal couple created waves around the world by confirming they are expecting a little brother or sister for son Prince George, one, next year.
Let the royal baby frenzy commence again!
Kate, 32, was due to accompany William on today's engagement but had to pull out because she's unfortunately suffering once again from acute morning sickness known as hyperemesis gravidarum.
In a statement released by Clarence House this morning, it was revealed: "As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace."
When Kate was expecting Prince George, she was admitted to hospital in London for three days very early in her pregnancy after suffering from the condition.
Kate is currently scheduled to attend the opening of Prince Harry's Invictus Games at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Wednesday evening, and an athletics event the following day. She's also planning her first solo overseas tour to Malta later this month.
A palace rep said Kate's appearances would be decided on a "case by case" basis.
Meanwhile, it's been reported that The Queen, the rest of the royal family and Kate's family are all delighted by the news of a second royal baby.
A statement said: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
