Clearly wanting to get a few things off his chest, the America's Got Talent host decided to share a slew of messages to Twitter on Wednesday (3 September).
The 33-year-old TV star denied ever giving a statement about the state of his marriage and said any information being circulated hadn't come from him, Mariah or either of their families.
"Because my family and I haven't been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumours," he wrote.
"For the record, I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage… At this difficult time I would ask all civilized people to please respect my family and this process."
Referring to his alleged statement, he added: "'Trouble in Paradise' is the dumbest phrase I've ever heard! I would never say that s**t."
Nick said some of the reports he'd read about his marriage were "absurd", adding: "While I would like to remain silent I can no longer allow this to happen."
Nick went to on praise Mariah and say no matter what has happened between them he will always love her and cherish her as she brought his children – twins Monroe and Moroccan – into the world.
"I will forever be indebted to her for blessing me with out children. I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more. Mariah is an amazing mother and I trust her wholeheartedly… I love Mariah and that will never change."
Last month, Nick had been quoted as confirming he and Mariah were currently living apart following a rough patch and that their focus was on their three-old-year children.
Nick and Mariah married in the Bahamas in 2008.
