Natasha Hamilton has slammed 5ive star Abz Love for quitting the group on Twitter without telling his bandmates first.

Atomic Kitten star Natasha, who is expecting a baby with 5ive's Ritchie Neville, hit out after Abz publicly declared that he had left the boy band last night.

According to fellow members Ritchie, Scott Robinson and Sean Conlon, Abz did not tell them he was leaving 5ive before making the announcement online.

Defending her boyfriend and accusing Abz of generating publicity for himself, Natasha tweeted: @abzlove has left @official5ive via the world of Twitter....I'd be gutted if one of the girls did that, publicity stunt if u ask me!"

She then added: "Really feel for Rich & the boys right now...very poor form. I'm putting the kettle on!"
Natasha got together with Ritchie after 5ive and Atomic Kitten appeared on last year's Big Reunion, along with B*Witched, Blue, 911 and the Honeyz.

After Abz's shock announcement on Twitter last night, Richie and the rest of the band were quick to call him out on the way it had been handled.

Richie said: "@abzlove thanks for the heads up via Twitter." Scott, meanwhile, asked Abz if he would be joining them this weekend for a booked gig in Holland.

He tweeted: "@abzlove wow that's really sad to hear especially on Twitter. Wish you would have called me. I take it you're not coming to Holland #Shocked."

Abz has not given an explanation for his sudden decision to leave 5ive, although tensions have been reportedly brewing for a while.

Earlier this year, it was revealed Abz would not be taking part in the 'Big Reunion Boy Band Tour', which kicks off in October, as he did not agree with certain terms and conditions.

Declaring his news last night, Abz tweeted: "As of today I am no longer a member of @Official5ive. Thank you to all the fans who supported, I love you all."
