After an incident with a medicine ball and a trampoline, the blonde beauty admitted she ended up with a black eye, a swollen nose AND a swollen lip before heading out on stage with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Appearing on ITV's Good Morning Britain earlier today, Ashley told hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins: "It was like on of those YouTube videos you watch of people knocking themselves out – that was me. I picked up a medicine ball… a six kilo medicine ball and chucked it at this trampoline and it came back with a vengeance and just knocked me out.
"Black eye, swollen nose, swollen lip – my manager's actually a boxer so he put a silver spoon in ice and rubbed it for about three hours before the show… I looked a little bit like I had some work done!"
Asked whether she managed to cover up her injuries before the show began, Ashley replied: "Thank god for make-up and a good make-up artist!"
She may have been sporting some injuries on her face previously, but today Ashley looked nothing short of flawless. With her hair swept off her face in a top knot, Ashley rocked a rouge Hollywood pout and matching printed dress for her TV appearance.
While away with Ant and Dec on the Saturday Night Takeaway tour, Ashley will be performing her new single 'Woman Up' live across 30 dates.
Speaking about her new single, Ashley revealed 'Woman Up' is a "female empowerment song", inspired by her own experiences growing up.
She said: "I watched my mum struggle a bit when she got divorced from my father, she relied a lot on him for financial well-being and being taken care of. It just gave me the drive to no matter what not to rely on someone else... whatever you want to do go for it, be confident in it and be empowered."
The I'm A Celeb star dances up a storm in the video for 'Woman Up' and is joined by her close pal and former bandmate Kimberly Wyatt.
Got To Dance judge Kimberly recently announced she was expecting with her first child and commenting on her friend's pregnancy, Ashley admitted she was relieved it's now all out in the open.
"I had to keep a tight lip on that one. It was really tough to do! I'm just glad Kimberly can be pregnant and be like.. I've got a belly and feel good about it."
Woman Up' is due for release on 25 August and will be taken from Ashley's first solo album, Butterfly Effect, due for release on 1 September.
